A security guard has been attacked and robbed while filling up a Hutt Valley ATM this afternoon.

The Armourguard worker was at the ANZ ATM on Stokes Valley Road about 1.40pm when robbed by two people, a police central communications spokesman said.

No weapon was used but the guard was punched, before the offenders made off with an unknown amount of cash.
