Police are hunting a youth after a security guard was shot in the face with an airgun while patrolling an Auckland primary school on Friday. The guard was shot despite obeying the would-be robber who demanded cash from him, police said. The guard was patrolling Onepoto Primary School on Auckland's North Shore about 7.45pm on Friday when a teenager approached him with a pistol demanding money, The Herald on Sunday reported. The guard was shot at least four times in the face and arms after he told the youth he had no money, the guard's boss Mike Rutherford said. "He did everything he asked him to and still got shot," said Rutherford. The guard was taken to North Shore Hospital with minor to moderate injuries, treated and discharged on Friday night.
