Chubb Security (Aus) sold to Indian firm

US-based UTC Fire & Security has sold its Australian arm, including Chubb Security Personnel, Chubb Mobile Services and MSS Security Group, to Indian company Security and Intelligence Services for an undisclosed sum.

The company will drop the Chubb name as on completion of the deal, but SIS managing director R K Sinha said in an announcement that he wanted the firm's Australian heritage to continue.

“We are committed to the Australian market and can confirm that Chubb will remain an Australian company, managed, operated and staffed by Australians,” he said.

The firm said it would retain all staff currently employed, and was looking to hire more.
